SCBA-CABA 9000 IS 10245 Part 2 : 2023, Class 1
SCBA-CABA 9000 IS 10245 Part 2 : 2023, Class 1
The CABA 9000 is a high-performance, cost-effective breathing apparatus meticulously designed for environments that are Immediately Dangerous to Life and Health (IDLH). Engineered for unwavering reliability in low-oxygen atmospheres containing fire, smoke, and toxic gases, this complete set seamlessly combines robust pneumatic performance with user comfort. It features a fully ergonomic universal backplate and a "first-breath" activated positive pressure system, ensuring a stable, life-sustaining air supply under the most demanding and critical conditions.
Salient Features
- Back Plate and Body Harness: Made of non-metallic, antistatic, impact-, chemical-, and fire-resistant materials, orthopedically designed and manufactured in conformity with IS 10245 (Part 2): 2023, Class 1 standards. Water-resistant, non-conductive, anti-static, chemical- and impact-resistant, with resistance to temperature and flammability as per IS 10245 (Part 2): 2023.
- Analog Pressure Gauge: Range of 0–350 bar. The design enables the wearer to estimate the pressure within 10 bars. Features a photoluminescent dial and lens with heat and impact resistance, mounted on the shoulder strap with suitable protection against damage. Integrated with the warning whistle in a streamlined hose without any manifold block.
- First Stage Reducer: Small, sturdy, and tamper-proof 1st stage reducer for 300 bar pressure. Capable of delivering 1000 LPM at 300 bar and a minimum of 500 LPM at cylinder pressure as low as 20 bars without any adjustment. Incorporates a unique safety pressure relief valve in the outlet supply. Fully automatic with an internal flow restrictor limiting airflow to less than 25 LPM to the HP supply hose. Easily detachable from the back plate.
- Whistle Assembly: Operates when 80% of air is consumed and produces a sound exceeding 90 dB. Air loss caused by the warning signal shall not exceed 5 litres/min from signal response to a pressure of 10 bar. Fully integrated with the gauge and hose, positioned on the shoulder in front of and close to the user’s ear.
- Demand Valve (Second Stage Reduction): Tilt valve / balanced piston demand valve with 4–10 mbar activation pressure. Maintains positive pressure at 10 bar cylinder pressure or 300 Lit/min air supply. Includes a reset button to close airflow through the demand valve, allowing the face mask to be removed without loss of cylinder air. Connected to the face mask with a plug-in connection from the front side of the mask. Positioned in such a way that it does not cause obstruction while crawling.
- Full Face Mask: Approved to IS 14166:2024 Class 2. Made from high heat- and chemical-resistant EPDM material, featuring a double reflex face seal, polycarbonate visor, 5-finger headband, spring-loaded exhalation valve, and a speech diaphragm for enhanced communication. The inner mask is made of silicone material, and the neck strap is flame-retardant neoprene.
- Cylinder: Choice of steel or lightweight carbon composite cylinder (4.7 / 6 / 6.8 litres × 300 bar capacity).
- Second Man Connection (Optional): Provision through a suitably placed “Y” manifold to facilitate receiving air from a different source and supplying air for an additional face mask.
